CharityHere at MESS, we have a strong desire and drive to give back to the community through a focus on charities that us as university students can relate to. Every year we aim to support a charity by raising donations and awareness through events and activities.
In the past, MESS has participated in Movember, R U Ok?, Beyond Blue and Headspace. Moving forward, a greater emphasis is being made on the charity section of our society, where more events are to be used to support our chosen charities. Activities in the past have included manning a barbecue, pool competitions and our legendary Engineering Games. The Games promotes friendly rivalry between the different engineering clubs at a social gathering such as a trivia night where although it seems like any other social event, all profits made go to charity. |
