Academic EventsAn academic focus has always been a crucial element of MESS. The academic events that we provide help students when they might be at a low and feel as though they're getting left behind, that being due to other commitments or unforeseen circumstances. Our hope is to further grow and develop our academic events so students are able to learn more, apply what they learn and to succeed.
Previously, we have provided technical support workshops where students can come and build on their SolidWorks and Matlab skills that aim to compliment what they learn in their classes. We have also introduced informational sessions that focus on how to get the most out of your degree and your time here at QUT. We have also held study sessions for students either weekly or during SWOTVAC where we provide a quiet room when you can't find one so you can finish off that last minute assignment or to better prepare for your exams. You can even ask our team or fellow members when you're stuck on something as we're all in this together. |
